Some of you are already aware of this.
Nee Soon South CC will be undergoing renovation in somewhere end of Q1 of 2020. Even after the renovation, there’s no guarantee that things will be the same as before because there will be change in management.
Meanwhile, we have been trying to reach out to other CCs to explore the possibility of relocation. However, it is a bit problematic as quite a few CCs either renovating or will be renovating in 2020 as well. We will update again once we manage to find a new venue.
What’s left for the remaining time in NSSCC is, an 8-han chan tournament in 7-8 December, a league with new uma system and lastly a tournament with the unusual rules (like pair, team, or whatever)
The December tournament is a 1.5 day tournament. It will start with 2 han-chan from 5:30pm and 6 han-chan on Sunday. Details to be out after i finish my reservist…
So please mark your calendar first!

As mentioned in the last session, all players who register for sessions will be guaranteed at least two games per session. See the schematic below for an example:
In Game 1, the session started off with Player C sitting out.
Since Player B acquired a 4th place in Table 3 for Game 1, he will sit out Game 2 while Player C will start at Table 3 for Game 2.
Since Player C acquired a 4th place in Table 3 for Game 2, under the old rules, he will sit-out Game 3. However, as Player C has already sat-out in Game 1, under the new rules, he will not sit-out again. Instead, Player D, who acquired a 3rd place in Table 3 for Game 2, will sit-out in Player C’s place instead.
If you have any queries, feel free to contact any of the organisers to clarify.

Australia will be a holding a tournament on 7,8 December, a 8 han-chan tournament.
All players will play for 6 han-chan and the top 4 players will play with each other for 2 han-chan to determine the champion.
The champion will get a slot in WRC 2020, which is held in August 2020, in Vienna.
Details can be found here: http://armo19.riichimahjong.com.au/
Registration can be done directly on your own via the website but It’s better to let me know so that I can coordinate and loop all interested players together so we can make accommodation planning together.
Some simple breakdown on the cost based on my estimation
Flight: Cheapest is scoot, currently at $500
Accommodation: $40 per person ($80 per night)
Expenses: $200
Entry fee: $50
Total: Basically around $1000, if you are not intending to travel.
Regarding WRC Quota for Singapore, I’ve no idea how many we are getting. I’m still waiting for the WRC Organiser to get back to me. But because they are shrinking the number of participants, we probably have fewer quota than the last time.
Depending on how many Singaporean players participate in this Australia Riichi Mahjong Open, I may or may not change the date of our local tournament that is tentatively scheduled on 7,8 December, pending venue confirmation.
