March 1st marked a milestone for the SGRiichi community as we hosted our largest tournament yet – a thrilling 60-player competition at SCAPE! With 15 tables buzzing with tiles and strategy, this was more than just a competition; it was the beginning of something bigger. This event officially kicks off our weekly games at SCAPE, a place we hope will grow into the home of SGRiichi—a hub where anyone can come together to share the joy of Riichi Mahjong.

For many of us, Riichi is more than just a game—it’s a shared passion, a battle of wits, and a way to connect with others. With this new space at SCAPE, we envision a welcoming and familiar place, where players—whether seasoned pros or first-time learners—can gather, learn, and grow together. More than just a venue, we hope SCAPE will become the heart of our community—a place where friendships are built over tiles, where rivalries spark improvement, and where laughter echoes through the tables.
