There are various projects to work on and experience to gain from contributing to SgRiichi.

We are always looking for volunteers/freelancers to help contribute to SgRiichi community, please join us!

* – Remuneration is available for negotiation on project milestone basis.

All costs required for the tasks to be done are sponsored by SgRiichi upon discussion and approval.

Digital Experience Team (DX)

  • Project* – Website Design & Development (3rd Party platform)
  • Information Flow Management
  • Communication Platform Management (Telegram, Discord, E-mail etc.)
  • Event Calendar Integration
  • Digital Resources Management (Google drive files, website files uploaded etc.)
  • Website Author Management
  • Work closely with Players Experience Team, Branding & Communication Team, Technology Development Team

Players Experience Team (PX)

  • Training & Development of players (SgRiichi academy trainers are under this team)
  • New Players Onboarding strategies & engagement plan
  • Players conflict resolution and complaints management
  • Policy development to foster desired culture (Guidelines etc.)
  • Align various penalties across SgRiichi and Riichi clubs
  • Players performance management (Dankai, rating etc.)
  • Design rewards & incentive system
  • Players engagement activities planning and organisation
  • Work closely with Digital Experience Team, Branding & Communication Team

Branding & Communication Team (BC)

  • Branding Strategy of SgRiichi and other Riichi clubs
  • Education of SgRiichi’s history, culture and successes
  • Branding of players achievements, trainers and leadership
  • Production of SgRiichi Videos
  • Engage vendors for SgRiichi merchandising such as shirt designs, mascot designs, watermark logos, name cards etc.
  • Copywriting
  • Work closely with Digital Experience Team, Players Experience Team

Technology Development Team (TechDev)

  • Data Engineering
  • Database Design
  • App Development
  • Website Design & Development (Code from scratch)
  • Analytics & Reporting Tools Development (Looker or PowerBI)
  • Project 1A* – Data Engineering for Dankai System
  • Project 1B* – Reporting for Dankai System
  • Project 2* – Convert current google sheets to SQL Database
  • Project 3A – Testing of PowerBI as alternative reporting tool
  • Project 3B* – Migrate current report to PowerBI if 3A is a pass
  • Project 4* – Website integration to SQL database once project 2 is completed
  • Work closely with Riichi Directors, Digital Experience Team

Global Engagement Team (GE)

  • Organise selection tournament for Oversea tournaments
  • Collaborate with international Riichi club representatives to organise international activities/events
  • Market Research (What other clubs are doing, knowledge exchange etc.)
  • Form affiliation with international vendors for mahjong products
  • Reporting of global achievements
  • WRC Rules Update and alignment with Local rules

Riichi Leaders

  • SgRiichi Coordinator (Finance, advisory and other administrative duties, takes up remaining vacant directors)

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Group of consultants for anyone to consult them for technical advice of a particular field. This is for those who are unable to commit extensively in terms of doing the work but able to provide valuable advice for what we are doing.
