Japanese Mahjong entertainment (Anime/Manga/Movies/Drama) are very different from those made by Hong Kong or Taiwan in which the gameplay is unrealistically exaggerated with little explanation. Many Japanese mahjong shows, esepcially those that feature the older days where yakuza is very prevalent, the Mahjong choreography is more realistic and explanatory. Some theories explain are legitimate which can really improve some of your gameplay or at least, give you some food for thought.
