So… recently I’ve been thinking about how every post of SMCRM can be boring, I decided to post a WWYD question once in a while. It will not be posted periodically as I kind of don’t wish to turn this into an obligation especially when I have to juggle with my school work. It will depends on my free time and…mood. Hah.
Anyway, the WWYD is taken from Japanese websites. The answer to the WWYD is based on the answer I get from the website so it is not my answer. Hope everyone will do the WWYD poll and give it a try! The answer will always be revealed on the next WWYD post or possibly just a post that reveals the answer.
Please do not ask me for more information like discard pool or whatever. I’ve no idea.

ANSWER
The recommended discard is 6m. 18.75% of our voters got it right.
This theme is on Orasu (Last round) with a condition of getting a Mangan hand.
It is important to choose a discard that prevents a drop in value of this hand.
With the discard of 6m, Tanyao, Iipeikou, Pinfu, Aka dora can possibly be achieved.
If we were to discuss about speed, 3m and 7m will be the fastest but it would have a high chance of getting a Riichi-nomi hand. This would make it difficult to get 1st place.
Discarding 2m seems decent as well but drawing a 9m will give you a 1shanten (1 tile from tenpai) hand shape which drops in value. For Mangan, 9m might be forced to be discarded once again. Hence, right from the start, it will be better to fix on not wanting to use 9m by discard 6m.
5p and aka 5s is kept for flexibility which might possibly upgrade the hand value.
It will be a great success given that if the hand develop into the following 2 examples with 5p and aka 5s.

B:
Enjoy creating hands that help you turn the tide and get top!
