As mentioned previously that Lance had practically missed his 1st han-chan due to connection problems. Fortunately, this match is rescheduled as there is also another player who has disconnection issue. As a result, Lance has gotten a positive 1,300 from this, placing Lucksack on 9th.
Qi Xian’s match is on 22 December 8pm. (not 10pm) http://www.twitch.tv/BugTourney Most likely, I will be commentating his 1st han-chan and Lance will be commentating the 2nd han-chan. I’ll try not to be as noisy as I am in the chatbox and see only useful stuff instead of rants.
Popiah is currently ranked 5th so as long as Qi Xian don’t lose badly, gain a little points, Popiah will qualify for the next round. However, it is more advantageous to get top 4 as the top 4 will only be eliminated only after losing twice. Popiah is only 1.5k points away from 4th. Furthermore, Qi Xian will be facing the 4th, 7th and 8th ranked teams! Whoever win this match with a decent lead definitely will get into top 4.
This means whether Lucksack can get into top 8 is also in Qi Xian’s hands. If Qi Xian can thrash his players to a great extent, Popiah can get into top 4, and allow Lucksack to qualify by disqualifying his 3 opponents. Realistically, if Qi Xian plays well and get both 1st or 1st + 2nd, two of his opponents will probably drop out of top 8.
