Criteria
- LP Required: 10~14 (Whoever is highest in this range)
- Have at least 8LP or more gap from 1st place of league standing at the end of League Session 9
- Attend Session 9 and 10
- Punctual on Session 9 and 10
- You are not Destin
- No volunteering of sitting out (Unless your LP is 0 and below)
Note: If Criteria 1 and 2 are in conflict of each other, that means NOBODY has that 8LP gap from 1st place, this prize will be converted to 2nd prize.
To be frank, I’ve no proper formula on how I come up with criteria 1. That’s why I’m not eligible to participate for this prize. I was expecting there will be a close game between like top 3 of the ranking for this league but it turn out otherwise so i had to set the LP level to be higher. The original idea was to segregate certain players from competing for this prize as they are all close to competing for the champion prize before deciding the LP required. But this time round, only Destin is too far ahead. Therefore the criteria 5 is not a discrimination act against Destin but a segregation of players who are very close to getting the champion prize. This is to prevent high LP players from manipulating their score too much, purposely losing or not fighting hard enough to be the champion.
Criteria 2 is also another arbitrary number that I come up with. Again, this is about segregation between players who can compete for champion or not as there is no clear sign given this current stage. If i don’t put this gap criteria and someone on this coming session get like 15? It will subject that player to easy manipulation of his LP.
Criteria 3 is to ensure players don’t get the magic 14 LP then disappear. Criteria 4 is to ensure players don’t try to manipulate the seating arrangement when they register for the session.
I’m expecting possible unfair situations that might arise. Hope to seek your understanding. But if you can see any loopholes, it will be nice to inform me as soon as possible. This is something new, and it is my 1st time trying out. The rationale of this prize is to have the mid-tier players still have something to fight for. At the same time, we cannot encourage players to be losing their games on purpose as it might ruin the game itself. So it is a very difficult balance.
Thank you to all players who have been committing to our session and we hope to continue making the session as enjoyable yet competitive as possible.
