Keishiki Tenpai Ari
Your hand is considered tenpai even if you are waiting for a 5th copy of the tile. For eg, tanki wait on a tile that you yourself have ponned.
End of game Riichi Deposits
All goes to 1st place.
Multiple Yakuman
Please not that multiple yakuman is only applicable for DIFFERENT yakuman achieved in 1 hand. For example, Suuankou Tanki Machi by its name, is double yakuman but its score remains at 32k but Suuankou with Tsuuiisou is counted as 64k.
Multiple Ron
Triple ron in Tenhou is considered a draw but most players think it doesn’t make sense. Since strategically speaking, players don’t really plan whether they wish to double or triple deal into players, we will stick with something that make more sense to everyone in name of fairness.
Revealing Kan Dora
Kan Dora will be revealed immediately after Ankan before discard. In case of Kakan or Daiminkan, Kan Dora will be revealed after discard.
Please note that rules such as Buttobi and Agari Yame cannot be implemented due to practicality issue in league setting. We cannot have han-chan to end too pre-maturely with players waiting for a long time before next han-chan starts. As for Agari Yame, given the nature of our league system taking into solely position instead of the total uma score, there is totally 0 incentive for anybody to continue to ren-chan after taking top position. This creates a 1-sided advantage that last dealer has over other players. This rule however, can be implemented in our tournaments.
Change in Chombo Penalty
As previously announced, the Chombo penalty for this league will be, paying 4k each to all place regardless whether you are a dealer or not, followed by a further deduction of LP (-3 for this league, -2 for last place avoidance emphasis league). This is implemented due to some feedback received that some players think it is not that fair when the offender is in 1st place and chombo, he/she is not that punished that badly. In a way, there is a huge disparity between committing chombo when you are in 1st place and when you are in last place. By having the player pay 4k each, all players get some advantage and some form of “consolation” if the chombo has resulted in any “I could have turn the tide if is not for his chombo!”. It also further nullify the disparity as the offender is more likely to have his/her position affected due to the deduction of 12k.
I hope this is now fair-er to most players. Please continue to feel free in providing your feedback in whatever issue we have. Your feedback is always greatly appreciated!
