Hello all! The playing venue will be available for use this Sunday, 24 February. As such, we have decided to have a learning session for our players!
Our club has been going on for more than 5 years. Throughout the 5 years, players change, improve and also came out with new strategies and techniques. Many of our players want to improve and learn new strategies, but there aren’t enough avenues for one to learn from. Fret not! The opportunity for you to learn is here!
During this session, players will get to play casual games with each other. Experienced players who attend this session can volunteer to give 1-to-1 guidance to any player who requests for it. The aim of this session is to help our players bring their game to the next level by understanding some strategies and techniques the experienced players use during their games. The details are as follows:
Date: 24 February 2019
Time: 11.00am to 6.00pm
Fees: $1 for the entire session
– Players should be able to play independently (Players who attended SMCRM before automatically fulfill the requirements).
– Players who have zero experience in riichi and would like to learn the game are also welcomed, but will have to learn the rules first before joining the games. (You may read the rules here.)
This session will be a rather informal one. As we are still trying to get the organisational work in order, interested parties are to contact me (via WhatsApp or Telegram) at (number removed) indicating your interest for this learning session. You may also indicate the role (player/guider/any) you are interested in in the message (Subject to our needs. A guider may still have to be a player if there are too many guiders.). If you are unable to make it for the entire duration, please also indicate the time which you can attend this session.
Please note that this session will be cancelled if there are not enough participants. Spaces are also limited, as we cannot exceed the maximum capacity of the room. Priority will be given to SMCRM players in the event of exceeding the maximum capacity.
Registration deadline for this session is Saturday, 23 February, at 2200 hours.
Even though this is an informal/casual session, player etiquette is still expected. The MCR side is also having their practice games, so noise level still has to be controlled.
